Meet Dawn – Founder of Divine Dog Training

Divine Dog Training began as a passion project for Dawn, a lifelong animal lover and dedicated pet parent. Inspired by her German Shepherd, Maya, Dawn dove deep into the world of canine communication and positive dog training. What started as a personal journey grew into a calling—one rooted in empathy, education, and a desire to strengthen the bond between people and their dogs.

Dawn’s path led her to foster puppies for rescue organizations and volunteer with a local animal shelter, where she gained hands-on experience working with dogs of all backgrounds. She has since become a trusted trainer with extensive experience helping both shelter dogs and family pets thrive.

In addition to her training expertise, Dawn is a Canine Health Canada certified Canine Emergency First Aid & CPR Instructor, committed to the health and safety of every dog in her care.

At home, Dawn shares life with her three cherished dogs—Maya, Theo, and Heidi—and two charismatic cats, Jak and Kelso.

Dawn is a strong advocate for fear-free, science-backed, and reinforcement-based dog training, following LIMA (Least Invasive, Minimally Aversive) principles. She believes training should not only be effective—it should also be fun, empowering, and relationship-building.

Her ultimate goal? To help families develop clear, consistent communication with their canine companions and build meaningful, lasting connections.
